Digital Dumbo & Carrot Creative

How freaking cute are these??
Carrot Creative ordered these little guys for last nights Digital Dumbo event. I wasn't able to stick around to see how they went over, but I was told that people were literally eating them by the handful....reminds me of something I've done.

The last cupcakes standing

I can't say it enough, I love love love getting pictures back from people I've delivered cupcakes to. There's nothing more satisfying than getting to see what came of my little cupcakes after they were handed over into someone elses hands.
Check out these adorable pictures that made their way to my mail box this morning.
Approximately 1 year ago Judy ordered a whole slew of cupcakes for her sisters bridal shower, and this past weekend she ordered many many more for that same sisters baby shower. All together now......awwww.....
Here are a few pictures she was able to snap of the last 3 cupcakes after the guests had left the party. It looks like the cat (lulu) has his sights set on the maple bacon.....

Fun Sunday Video

Before I run out to my weekly bingo game (embarrassing?) I wanted to put up a fun Sunday blog post.
Those who follow me on twitter know that Eugene Mirman, an awesome comedian, stopped by the stand today to pick up 50 bacon cupcakes. He does a show at Union Hall every week and he wanted to bring some for the audience.....what a stand up guy.
Threadless made this video of him and I think it's pretty cute. Enjoy!

Launch Party @ One Hanson Place

Last night my cupcakes and I were invited to the grand opening of the event space at One Hanson Place.....it was pretty darn impressive. The architecture and layout of the space is mind blowing. I didn't bring my camera with me but I was able to snap off a few pictures of the space with my iphone. I'm not sure what was more jarring, the downstairs vault emptied out and drowned in black light, or the bartenders serving martinis from the teller windows.

I got word from Eric Demby (mastermind behind the Brooklyn Flea), who was also there last night, that one of the creators of the PBS New York City series is going to be joining us at 3pm tomorrow afternoon to give a speech about the history of the building. I'm super excited, and hope I can sneak away from the vault to hear some of it.
Also at the event was the lovely couple behind NuNu Chocolate. If you haven't been to their store on Atlantic Ave, go right now, you will not be disappointed.

See you tomorrow at the market!

Kumquat POP UP STORE

Yes....you heard me. Kumquat Cupcakery will be running a true blue retail location for exactly 4 full days this February! What day's you ask? Oh, just the 11th-14th!! I'm so excited I'm bouncing as I type this....and that's difficult.
Now I know I said that I would never own a brick and mortar location, but sometimes you just need a place to lay out your wares for everyone to see. Having a pop up location is perfect because it's way less of a commitment and more of a...fling!

Think less skulls and more sprinkles....

Oh, and did I forget to mention that the lovely ladies of Liddabit Sweets are going to join me as well??? Lollipops, cupcakes, candy bars, oh my!

It's in the very very very beginning stages, but I will be sure to post updates as frequently as possible. There's lots of stuff to arrange, including the end of the week Valentines Day blow out party.....any suggestions?
